Blog 8 - My experience studying english
Time flies. This is the last
blog of the semester and I’m going to talk about the experience of learning English
at university. In my case, when I entered to my first semester in 2017 I did
the English test and I got to English IV… BUT I didn’t take the subject until my
eighth semester because of my schedule and the workload that I already told you
about. So my experience studying English here it has only been on-line. I
enjoyed the classes because I got the chance to practice my pronunciation and
casual conversations that requires some sort of mental fluency. Plus, in the
first classes I felt very shy to the idea of speaking english like “in public”,
but along the semester I become more and more comfortable.
About the blogs, I think they
are a really really good idea given the circumstances of the pandemic and
online classes. Writing blogs are useful for practice our writing skills and it’s
helpful to get to know other classmates, their careers, personal interest, and many things that we can barely know because the lack of face-to-face
interaction.
In the future I would like to
practice more my pronunciation and vocabulary because I think that my English capabilities
are not even close to my Spanish ones for obvious reasons…. So I would like to
shorten that difference to be able to communicate my ideas better in English.
Now… outside the english class
I am reading a lot of stuff in english. This is because I am starting to
prepare my thesis and I have to do a lot of research and reading a lot of
papers, that are mostly written in english. Besides that, I usually watch
series and tutorials that are in english too, so I use that language very
frequently.
It's been a good experience writing blogs and learning how to use blogspot. I'm even thinking about create a new one to share some nerdy stuffs I do.
Bye! :) thanks for reading me
